The 2010 Conference theme "Embrace the Winds of Change" is based on four natural elements which will identify the focus of each professional development workshop offered at the Conference. These elements are:

Change is all around us and as leaders of volunteer resources we must keep abreast of change and at the same time be the "ChangeMaster". Our roots are the basic foundation of our profession. Your passion reinforces your dedication and commitment to your profession. And as leaders, we must not forget to practice self-care in order to give care to the volunteers that we lead.

More than ever, training and professional development are essential and critical to a professional's ongoing success. PAVR-O and the Conference 2010 Committee (co-chaired by Sandra Johnston and DoDee Walsh) are committed to providing you with smaller educational-based workshops and great keynote speakers.

We are conscious of the challenges you are facing in these economic times. For this reason ....the full conference registration fee is not only the same as last year but includes all meals, including the opening dinner/BBQ.

As an ADDED bonus, PAVR-O has purchased the rights to Betty Stallings' "55 Minute Training Series". Registration for the full conference and/or the Pre-Conference Workshop (separate fee for workshop) includes a password to download this series (provided at the Registration Desk at the Conference).

Conference 2010 is being held at the YMCA Geneva Park Leadership Training and Conference Centre, Lake Couchiching, Orillia, Ontario.
