  • May 4th: Advocacy:  Building Partnerships for our Profession
    Join Reva Cooper as she hosts a discussion with representatives of  Volunteer Canada, Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC), Imagine Canada, the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network, and the Ontario Nonprofit Network on the advocacy initiatives underway by each organization and how we can strengthen our efforts through collective action.   • May 6th : Health & Safety to welcome Volunteers "Back to Work"
    As we break forward from the pandemic, ensuring the health and safety of volunteers and ourselves is key to successfully welcoming volunteers "back to work'.  Angele Poitras, a psychological health and safety advisor brings us "Neck-Up Safety:  Mental Health" providing information on taking care of you, volunteers, resiliency, and mental health.  Sue Boychuk joins in with her presentation on "Workplace Safety 101 in a '19' World helping us put the Covid-19 health and safety puzzle together in a practical way.   • May 12th: Are We Giving Volunteers the Right Tools?  Applying a Trauma-Informed Approach to Volunteerism.
    Rami Shami has been serving within Hospice Palliative Care for over three decades.  A strong advocate for the development and provision of volunteer programs and services that support individuals living with a life-limiting illness, their caregivers, and those who are bereaved, Rami will introduce the principles of Trauma-Informed Care and provide ways on how to apply a Trauma-Informed Approach to volunteer training and management. Visit Conference Sessions for session information and presenter profiles.
