      Bio:
      Over the past 25 years, Erin Spink has gained international recognition as a speaker, writer and trainer in VolunteerEngagement. Her work includes  the only academic research quantifying the concept   of “volunteer engagement”, multiple chapters in the  CCVA accreditation textbook and regular contributions to the Engage journal as co-author of the Points of View articles and co-editor of the Ethics column.

      Bio:

      Florence Gilbert Edebiri is a dynamic leader with extensive experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Volunteer Services and Non-Clinical Student Placements at Scarborough Health Network (SHN), Florence plays a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and supporting organizational growth. Having lost about 2000 volunteers during the pandemic and is currently rebuilding from 250 returning volunteers in 2022, Florence now manages a team of over 1500 volunteers across three hospitals locations and satellites sites.


      A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and belonging, Florence is the Chair of SHN's Community of Inclusion: Blacks United for Inclusion, Leadership, and Development (BUILD). She serves on a number of committees and programs at SHN including the SHN EDI advisory committee. Her leadership has been instrumental in promoting equity and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups within the organization.


      Florence holds an MBA in Strategic Human Resource Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a certificate in Volunteer Leadership Management. She is an advocate in the community and speaks on topics that promotes belonging and overall well being. She was recognized in 2024 in the community as a remarkable trailblazer and inspiring speaker; empowering individuals and communities to reach their highest potential. 


      Her commitment to excellence, innovative approach to leadership, and unwavering dedication to uplifting others have earned her widespread respect and admiration in the community. 


      Bios:

      Lindsey Rounds and Skye Simons are Volunteer Resource Coordinators with Canadian Blood Services (CBS) supporting volunteers across Southern Ontario. 


      Lindsey earned her CVA in 2021 and has worked with volunteers for the past 10 years at a variety of nonprofit and community organizations, the last 3 years have been with CBS. To be involved in her community, Lindsey and her partner are billet parents for the St. Thomas Stars hockey club hosting out of town players for the season. 


      Skye has been with CBS for 8 years in a variety of different roles ranging from a phlebotomist to the past 3 years being a Volunteer Resource Coordinator for Southwestern Ontario. Skye lives just outside London with her husband and 2 big dogs.
